The Gerald R. Ford Museum is about to open a new chapter in its storied history.  In May of this year, construction is beginning on a $6.35 million, 8,000 square foot addition to, and renovation of, the existing building.  The addition will provide a new feature exhibit space, an educational center, a remodeled Museum Store, and an interactive replica of the Cabinet Room allowing visitors to take part in the decision-making process of the Ford Administration.  Phase One, the exhibit hall, education center and Cabinet Room, will be completed by July 2003 marking the 90th birthday of President Ford. All remaining work on the project is scheduled to be completed in April 2004.
